Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-08-23
These terms govern your use of Wakeel. By using the service you agree to them. They are written as plainly as we can manage.
The service
Wakeel runs an AI sales and customer service agent that answers your store's customers on WhatsApp and your website, from the catalogue and policies you enter. It can record orders, tickets and bookings, and hand a conversation to you when needed.
Your account and responsibility
- •You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — prices, availability, return and shipping policies. The agent quotes them literally.
- •You are responsible for your store's compliance with the laws that apply to it, and for your customers' rights over their data.
- •Keep your login credentials confidential. Activity under your account is your responsibility.
- •If you connect WhatsApp you also agree to Meta's WhatsApp Business policies, including its rules against unsolicited messaging.
What AI can and cannot do
The agent is built to follow your information literally, not invent, and to escalate to you when it does not know. It is still a language model and it can be wrong. You remain responsible for reviewing orders and commitments before acting on them. We do not guarantee that every reply will be correct or appropriate to every situation.
Subscription and payment
- •Free plan: 50 automated replies a month, no card and no expiry. It includes WhatsApp, website chat, the catalogue, and order and ticket recording.
- •Paid plans: Starter $29/month with 1,000 automated replies, Growth $99 with 5,000, and Pro $299 with no monthly cap. Billing counts the replies the agent sends — not your customers' messages, and not conversations your own staff handles.
- •Fair use on Pro: there is no monthly cap, but if we see abnormal automated consumption — scripts, or traffic that is not from real customers — we will contact you before taking any action.
- •Payment by card through Stripe. Prices are in US Dollars.
- •A payment extends your subscription rather than replacing it — paying while a month is still active adds to the remaining time.
- •When a subscription ends you drop to a limited plan after a grace period. Your data stays intact and returns when you renew.
- •You can cancel at any time. Refunds are handled case by case — contact us.
Acceptable use
You may not use Wakeel for unsolicited bulk messaging, fraud, selling prohibited goods, impersonation, or anything unlawful. Breaching this means suspension without prior notice.
Ownership
Your store content and your customers' conversations belong to you. The platform software is ours — and it is open source; you can read the code and even run it on your own server.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits. At most, our liability is limited to what you paid in the last 3 months. Nothing here removes a right that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
Ending the service
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend an account that breaches acceptable use. If we discontinue the service entirely, we give merchants reasonable notice to export their data.
Data about your customers
When you run Wakeel, you are the controller of the data about your customers and we are the processor. The mutual obligations are set out in the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms and which you accept at signup. You can read it at any time at wakeelhq.com/dpa.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, whose courts have jurisdiction. This does not remove any mandatory right you have under the law of your own country.
A note
This text is written to be clear and honest about how the system behaves; it is not legal advice. If you have regulatory obligations specific to your country, consult a lawyer.
